Cleaning for a Reason is a nationally recognized non-profit who partners with and connects cleaning companies to those undergoing cancer treatments and their families. Through the program, those who qualify receive two free cleanings from a registered local cleaning company. The goal of the program is to help remove the burden of housework so those in active treatment, recovering from surgery or on hospice can focus on their health.
All Spruced Up Cleaning Co. LLC is a cleaning company in this area who works with Cleaning for a Reason. Paige Collins, the owner of All Spruced Up Cleaning Co., said as soon as she heard about the program, she knew she wanted to be a part of it. "I think most people know the effects cancer treatment can have on one's physical and emotional health and what better way to give back than to give back to those right here in our community who need our help. Families have enough to worry about, taking the burden of trying to keep up on their house is one thing we can proudly do for them."
Since All Spruced Up Cleaning Co started with Cleaning for a Reason in April, they have been able to help two women who were going through treatment, and they would love to help more! Right now, their goal is to be able to help at least one family a month with services. Paige says they would really love to connect with more families with kids who are going through treatment, "We want to be able to help the mothers so they can focus more on caring for their child during this challenging time." She says they would also love to connect with local hospitals to be of service in anyway they can.
