A to Z Guide to Indoor Activities in the Mahoning Valley

Are your kids complaining that they're bored, or is it too cold, hot or rainy to play outside Pack them up and head out to enjoy one of these local indoor activities in the Mahoning Valley. These are great options to help the little ones burn off some energy, and prevent you from going stir crazy!

A - Get your exercise at Austintown Bounce (only booking rentals Oct 2020)
The kids can have some fun, while parents relax in the recliners with free Wifi.

B - Bowling at Camelot Lanes
Sign up for the Kids Bowl Free program and have fun all summer! Their afterschool bowling program is also great!

C - Get out your wallet and hit up Chuck E. Cheese.

D - Put on your ice skates at the Deep Freeze Ice Arena
Try figure skating or hockey at this full-service ice arena. They also host birthday parties.

E - Check out the exhibits at the Butler Institute of American Art
 Look for free family days in the events calendar!

F - Play some retro games at Fun-N-Games Rewind in Boardman.

G - Play some Games!
Set up an old school card table, and get out the classics: Uno, Monopoly, Chutes & Ladders, or Parchesi. 

H - Learn about local history at The Arms Family Museum or the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor
The Arms Family Museum's Hands-On History Room has some creative games and activities for all ages.

I - Take an Indoor Swim at the Hubbard Community Pool
If you don't have a membership to the JCC or YMCA, The Hubbard Community Pool has an open swim schedule with daily admission rates. 

J - Jump! Jump! Jump! at Confetti House in Boardman (only booking rentals and parties)

K - Kids love movies! 
Boardman Movies 8 is a budget-friendly choice at just $3.50.

L - Learn about our universe at the Ward Beecher Planetarium (Currently closed)

M - Check out Membership to the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown
Swimming, exercise options, organized classes and more. Check the Events Calendar for public events.

N - Learn about nature at Mill Creek MetroParks Ford Nature Center. (Currently Closed - Oct 2020)

O - Everyone loves OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology. (Currently Closed - Oct 2020)

P - Grab some food and have fun at Cocca's Pizza.
The Boardman and Canfield locations have kids play areas and arcade games.

Q - Spend some quality time at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
Visit one of their fifteen branches, find a storytime, or do a make and take craft.

R - Take a short drive for some Rollerskating at Olympic Fun Center in Hermitage
There are also bumper cars, an arcade, laser tag, and a rock wall.

S - The Southern Park Mall is not just for shopping.
Visit the kids play area, take a train ride, or rent some cute animals to drive around. 

T - TBA (The "T" venue closed)  

U - Unplug and do some science experiments, crafts, or build an epic lego structure.

V - Visit the D.D. and Velma Davis Education Center at Fellows Riverside Garden (Currently closed through 2020)

W - Sports World in Boardman has some indoor fun in the arcade.

X - The kids will be eXhausted after a trip to Extreme Air Trampoline Park in Boardman or Niles.

Y - The YMCA of Youngstown has two great locations for family wellness.

Z - Have fun at the Skate Zone in Austintown.
Roller skating, web city, and laser tag are just a few of the fun things to do. (Web city is closed)
