MetroMutts by Mill Creek MetroParks
MetroMutts is a membership program bringing together dogs and their dog-loving humans through special programs. This is not a dog park or an off-leash area in the MetroParks. Dogs that attend the MetroMutts programs must be leashed (6′ max.), non-aggressive, and under owner’s control at all times. Family members and friends are welcome to participate in MetroMutts programs, but special gifts and discounts are for members only.
As a MetroMutts member, you’ll get advance notice of programs and special hikes that are scheduled throughout the year. Learn new things, strengthen the bond with your pet, and meet others who share your passion. For more fun, there are special events for dogs and their people.

Youngstown dog park tips
Follow the rules! Typical dog park rules include:
- Dogs must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and shots, and supervised at all times.
- Clean up after your pooch! No one wants to step in that mess.
- Know your dog: If you have a dog that has shown aggression toward other animals, children, or adults, it's best to leave them at home.
- Taking your kids? Supervise them closely! Let them know that running and loud play aren't a good idea around dogs they don't know well, and teach them how to approach a dog to pet it.
- Don't bring your lunch. It only invites begging and aggressive behaviors.
- Be polite and considerate of other park users. Common sense prevails!
