Virtual Learning with Mill Creek MetroParks

The Education Department at Mill Creek MetroParks has created a Virtual Education section on their website. 

The Education department goes live every Friday on their Facebook page with interesting tidbits from around the park. The videos are archived on their website.

Virtual Classroom programs are also available. These programs are free of charge and are aligned with Ohio’s Learning Standards and Model Curriculum for Science.  There is a correlation to Ohio’s Learning Standards for Math, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.

Programs include:

Super Seeds

  • Kindergarten – Grade 1
  • Students will explore the importance of seeds and learn how we use seeds every day.

Little Red Hen

  • Preschool – Grade 1
  • Listen to and learn all about the children’s story “The Little Red Hen”.  The story teaches about the process of growing wheat and changing it into a food.

O-H-I-O

  • Grades 4 – 8
  • Learn all about the symbols that represent our great State of Ohio.

Tree-mendous

  • Grades 2 – 4
  • Explore the world of trees.  Learn the importance of trees and their parts and functions.
