Get outside and explore nature this summer with Eco Edventures!

Get your kids outside and exploring nature with this great program from ECO Edventures!

ECO Edventures offers hands-on programs that get kids outdoors and uses inquiry-based learning about ecosystems in their own community. Students enrolled in our program will become citizen-scientists by photographing and recording observations of plants and animals while hiking through various habitats to aid researchers by logging data for wildlife studies on each excursion. The ECO Edventures learning environment allows for significant team-building opportunities, encouraging each child to explore and grow their own leadership lens.

Over the last year, through local outreach and community partnerships, we have worked with over 400 students in the Mahoning River Valley, ranging in ages as young as 5 to adults.  Over the last year, we have partnered with and delivered programs to Boardman Local Schools, Mill Creek MetroParks, Youngstown City Parks, Boardman Parks, and YNDC by tailoring our programming to meet the needs of the community, and most importantly, getting kiddos outside exploring their own backyards!
Director Josh Boyle says it’s important to reach kids and get them interested in science at an early age.

“Studies have shown that if kids aren’t engaged in science by the sixth grade, they’re not as likely to go into science careers."

Our summer programs will be offered on the following dates at Mill Creek’s Bears Den area:

July 15th-19th for children aged 10-18

July 22nd-26th for children aged 5-9

Registration fee:
