Food Allergies & Easter Egg Hunts

Check out the Second Annual All Inclusive Easter Egg Hunt

By Leann Rich March 19, 2019

How to Support a Family with Food Allergies...this was written by another publisher mom - but I could have written it myself! I had a similar night in the ER with my son when he was about 15 months old, after giving him a piece of a peanut butter cookie. He's thirteen now, and luckily we've only had some minor issues.

Easter egg hunts have always been a challenge for him - we used to put cheese puffs in all the eggs instead of candy. Once he got older, he just traded candy with his sister or cousins to get what he could eat - and our family has always been good at putting allergy-friendly candy in his eggs.

In pulling together all of the Easter Egg hunts in the Valley I came across the  All Inclusive Egg Hunt at Rulli Bros. This event allows for children with food allergies and food sensitivities to bring their eggs to the trade table, so they can get things they can eat. Check out the Facebook Event page - there are lots of great sponsors for the event - and they are giving away some great prizes:

2 and under - Party donated and Sponsored by All the Little Birds
3/4 - Party donated and Sponsored by Confetti House
5/6 - Party donated and Sponsored by Deep in the Forest
7/8- Party donated and Sponsored by Extreme Air Boardman
9 and up- Party donated and Sponsored by Deep Freeze

There is a $5 registration fee for this egg hunt - proceeds go to the Walnut Grove Playground - you can sign up in person at Extreme Air in Boardman, or at Rulli Bros Market on South Avenue.
